The death of the Egyptian broadcaster and actress, Sherine El Tahan, following a struggle with cancer

The Egyptian broadcaster and actress, Sherine El Tahan, died at dawn today, Friday, at the age of 47, following a struggle with cancer. The Syndicate of Representative Professions in Egypt mourned her, as did a number of her colleagues on social media platforms.

At the beginning of her career, Sherine El-Tahan worked as a TV presenter, and presented programs including “No Approach”, “90 Minutes” and “Out of Service”. Commandments” (directed by Khaled Marei, 2014), “A Temporary Name” (directed by Ahmed Nader Jalal, 2013), “Maryam” (directed by Muhammad Ali, 2015), and “Ramadan Kareem” (directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz, 2017).

She has 3 films to her credit: “Al Hawa” (directed by Ehab Lamie, 2006), “45 Days” (directed by Wael Mandour and Ahmed Yousry, 2007) and “Dearest Friends” (directed by Ahmed Samir Farag, 2009).
