Raymond Le Moign is used to the ministry. Before being director of cabinet, he had had a first experience, from November 2013 to early 2016, as deputy director of the cabinet of the Minister of Social Affairs and Health Marisol Touraine. Apart from his ministerial functions, he directed hospitals other than those of Lyon, in particular the CHU of Orléans between 1994 and 1996, that of Nantes from 1996 to 2004 or that Toulouse from 2016 to 2018.
While waiting to know the latter’s successor, it is now Virginie Valentin, the current deputy director since April 2021, who holds the position of interim director general of the HCL. Before her arrival in Lyon, she was, until March 2021, coordinator of the national resource center in support of overseas regional health agencies, attached to ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
