Dutch politician Thierry Baudet was expected this Thursday evening at Ghent University to give a conference on “The fall of Europe”.
Despite a significant police presence and a bodyguard, an individual managed to violently hit the guest with an umbrella while shouting anti-Putin and anti-fascist remarks.
The attacker was quickly neutralized and taken away by the police.
Thierry Baudet is a controversial personality from the Netherlands. He is particularly criticized for his positions in favor of Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine.
