Giorgos Kampailis, father of 19-year-old Yiannis who lost his life at the amusement park in Pefkohori, Halkidiki, crossed the threshold of the Supreme Court shortly before 11:00 on Monday morning (2.9.24).
The father of the deceased young man met with the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelini, and raised with her the issues that have been recorded by the family both regarding the circumstances of the accident and the judicial management of the case.
On his way out, Mr. Kampailis emphasized that “today an effort was made, initially on a human level, and then on a procedural level, in order to inform the lady prosecutor of the Supreme Court on how a part of the investigations on the specific case involving the fatality is progressing effect on my lad. The sensitivity and way of dealing with Justice is very important. I have confidence in it. We expect immediate developments in this whole process.”
“Tomorrow we believe that the company, the official body for the technical control, will also come, so that all this can be closed and the judicial officers can indict those involved. The information from the investigation shames the Greek people. A rotten, backward, system that is financed and will continue to be financed for two or three euros will kill the children of the Greeks”, he underlined.
