The expert jury, consisting of Mia Zabelka (chair/no voting rights), Bérangère Maximin (FR), Andrea Pensado (AR/ US) and Rupert Huber (AT) has chosen the following five finalists:

Ragnheiður Erla Björnsdóttir “SUN MONTH II”

Nina Jukic “Everything I Learned About the Stars”

Mara Johanna Probst “Like landscapes created by cracks”

Xaver Schutti “Buried Landscapes”

Ina Thomann “insights inside machines I”
(alphabetical order)

The final, in which the works of all five finalists will be presented, will take place on November 17, 2023 at 8:30 p.m. as an online stream on the YouTube channels Austrian Composers and Iklectik Londonas part of the cooperation event with the “Klangzeit Festival”/Untergreith.

The three winning works will be selected during the stream by the expert jury and a Audience voting determined. The three award-winning artists receive prize money of €700 each, as well as a performance at an event organized by the Austrian Composers or the “Klangzeit”/Untergreith festival. The announcement of the three winners will take place directly following the stream via a live connection from the jury.
