THIS FRIDAY, THE FIRST UPDATE DAYS IN REHABILITATION MEDICINE WERE HELD AT THE GUADALAJARA CIVIL HOSPITAL BY SPECIALISTS IN THE SUBJECT
This Friday, the first update days in rehabilitation medicine were held, in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of disability problems of oncological, pulmonary and musculoskeletal origin.
The sessions were held at the “Fray Antonio Alcalde” Civil Hospital of Guadalajara and included the participation of Mexican and foreign specialists in the field to give conferences and talks on rehabilitation.
Dr. Jaime Andrade Villanueva, director of the Civil Hospitals of Guadalajara, explained that rehabilitation medicine is one of the most neglected areas in science:
«It is one of the most important areas and one that we always forget in medicine because the concept of health, apart from being a biological, social and psychological concept, the truth is that it has become much more biologized towards the causes of the pathophysiology of diseases. diseases, abandoning the social part, the psychological part has been abandoned».
The director considered that there is a great deficit in the care of the area due to the lack of follow-up of the rehabilitation processes and the reincorporation of those people who have sequelae of some disease.
