Clash during wedding reception at Vajayila in Thiruvananthapuram. The groom’s friends got drunk and beat up the locals. Bombs were thrown at the locals. Many people were injured in the incident.
The incident took place at the Salvation Army Church on Christ Nagar Road, Perurkada Vazhayila last night. During the wedding reception, the groom’s friends got drunk and got into an argument with the locals. Meanwhile, some of the groom’s friends beat up the locals.
When the locals stopped them, they went back and bombed. 5 people including women were injured. Four people, including the groom, were taken into police custody. Akash, Vijin, Vijith and Vineet, natives of Pothankot, are in police custody.
Those in custody were also injured in the conflict. Perurkada police registered a case and started investigation.
