The gang “Los Topos del Cobre” falls in Ciudad Bolívar

After investigative work, the agents captured four people, including two teenagers.

Agents of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) arrested two men and two minors, for alleged theft of cables in the José Antonio Páez parish of the Angostura del Orinoco municipality.

Commissioner Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc, reported through his official Instagram account that the Municipal Delegation of Ciudad Bolívar carried out an extensive investigation process to find those indicated, because they are alleged members of the criminal gang “the Topos del Cobre”, dedicated to the theft of strategic material in the municipality.

It was learned that the two men, ages 42 and 28, together with minors ages 14 and 16, used knives and pliers to cut the wiring of the Electrical Substation of said parish.

Presumably, the quartet intended to commercialize the material.

Before being placed under the order of the Public Ministry, they seized 12 rolls of electrical conductor, two backpacks, a cell phone and the tools they used to perpetrate the crime.
