Born and raised in Trentino, Sartori graduated in Law from the University of Bologna. He began his professional journey as a police commissioner in 1990 and later obtained a II level Master from “La Sapienza” University of Rome in “Security, interference coordination, and international cooperation.”

Sartori’s expertise has taken him to various international organizations. He has worked at Criminalpol and Interpol, representing Italy at the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center in, and serving as the Interpol liaison officer for Romania, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. His significant roles include directing the Regional Operational Coordination Office for Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation, and Lebanon in from 2007, and coordinating international projects against organized crime and corruption from 2010 to 2013.

In December 2013, at the request of the Romanian government, Sartori was appointed as an advisor to the Romanian Prime Minister, retaining his existing roles. His contributions to public service were recognized when he was named Commendatore of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in December 2019.

Most recently, from September 2018 to January 2022, Sartori served as the Quaestor of Mantua, and from January 2022 to November 2023, he held the same position in Vicenza. In November 2023, the Council of Ministers appointed him as the General Manager of Public Security.

Global Involvement and Institutional Commitment

Dr. Sartori has actively participated in UN programs, European Union commissions, Interpol, and the FBI Academy in the United States. He serves as a speaker and teacher at Italian and European universities, contributing to international conferences and study courses. As a member of the Aspen Institute since 2007, he has authored numerous articles and essays for geopolitical publications, particularly “Limes – Italian Geopolitics Magazine.”
