The Growth of UCITS and the Rise in Net Assets: Insights from the Moroccan Capital Market Authority

The net assets under management of undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS) stood at more than 518.3 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) as of October 2, up 3.48% year-on-year, according to the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).

Short-term bond UCITS (OCT) recorded the most favorable annual variations, showing an increase of 27.63%.

On the other hand, monetary UCITS and contractual UCITS experienced the strongest declines, with respective decreases of 27.69% and 5.91%, according to weekly data from the AMMC, as of October 2, 2023.

In terms of monthly variation, money market mutual funds posted the biggest fall of 22.80%.

The number of active UCITS reached 573 funds over the same period.
