Al-Marsad newspaper: The head of the Private Education Committee, Dr. Mowaffaq Hariri, revealed a shocking number regarding the number of students withdrew from private schools during the past 5 years.
During the 120 program on Al-Ekhbariya channel, Hariri confirmed that a quarter of a million male and female students withdrew from private schools during the past 5 years, and the number may reach nearly half a million by the end of this year.
He said that private education is an essential pillar next to government education, noting that the decline in numbers started before the Corona pandemic and increased following the spread of this epidemic for multiple reasons and the presence of challenges facing the sector.
