The film will be screened
Kochi: The International Women’s Film Festival organized by the State Film Academy will begin in Ernakulam on Saturday. Actress Urvashi will inaugurate the fair at Savita Theater at 6 pm. 31 films will be screened at the Mela which will be held from 10th to 13th at Savitha and Sangeetha theatres. Films by women directors who won the audience at the 28th IFFK will be screened at the fair.
The Green Border will be screened as the opening film of the film festival. 26 films will be screened in the world cinema category. Vanuri Kahiu’s ‘Rafiki’, which won the Spirit of Cinema award at IFFK, and Sumitra Peris’ The Tree Goddess, who passed away last year, will be screened in the homage category. The distribution of delegate passes for the film festival began on Friday.
