The Israeli army announces the interception of a drone that took off from Lebanon

Jerusalem: The Israeli army announced, on Friday, that warning sirens were sounded in the Galilee region, in the north of the country.

In a statement on its Twitter account, the army said: “Alarm sirens sounded in the Galilee region, in northern Israel.”

“The matter is under examination,” he added, without further details.

In a subsequent statement, the army explained that “a small hostile procession infiltrated from Lebanon into Israeli territory, where warnings were activated and interception missiles were launched from the Iron Dome system, and warplanes and helicopters were called into the airspace.”
