The Israeli army intercepts three drones believed to have been launched by Hezbollah over the Karish gas field in the sea

An Israeli security source said that Israel shot down three unarmed “enemy” drones coming from Lebanon on Saturday that were approaching gas platforms in the Israeli maritime economic zone.

The source added that the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah had launched these planes.

For his part, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that sending drones towards the gas platform undermines reaching an agreement with Lebanon and stressed that Tel Aviv will continue to protect what he described as Israel’s rights, including its right to respond and confront any attempt to harm, as he put it.
