The “Joker from Florida” is now demanding $5 million from Rockstar Games for appearing in the trailer

At the beginning of December, Rockstar Games published a simple tweet, giving us an appointment on December 5 at 3 p.m. to discover the first trailer for the next opus of the GTA license. Unfortunately, the latter leaked and the studio decided to immediately publish said video. For 91 seconds, the audience discovers the new face of Vice City, the main characters Lucia and Jason and fake videos inspired by real content that went viral, all to the sound of the song Love is a Long Road by Tom Petty.

In this video, we see a man with a tattooed face, who has just been arrested by the sheriff’s office. Immediately, the public recognizes him as Lawrence Sullivan, a man who became famous on the Internet thanks to his mugshot in which his appearance evokes the Joker from DC Comics. Considering he’s part of the game’s marketing campaign, Lawrence Sullivan said he wants two million dollars in compensation, and he wouldn’t hesitate to go to court.

Now, the person concerned poses an ultimatum to Rockstar Games. In a new video relayed by Culture Crave on X (formerly Twitter), he declares:

« You are all playing with my intelligence. This is my final warning. I spoke to my lawyers, we sent you a letter and we are still waiting for a response. Now I’m asking for five million dollars. If you don’t respond to me by my birthday on January 11th, we will take legal action. Rockstar, go talk to your daddy, and give me my money. »
