The Juno spacecraft succeeded in taking accurate pictures of the atmosphere of Jupiter

Today, NASA’s Juno spacecraft succeeded in capturing a number of precise pictures of the atmosphere of Jupiter and the two moons, Callisto and Io.

The spacecraft had previously succeeded in taking a number of pictures of the planet, but the newly captured image by the JunoCam spacecraft was able to depict minute details of the atmosphere of the planet Jupiter.

The Juno spacecraft is still working to explore Jupiter, its 38th close flyby of the largest planet in our solar system.

And the “Space” website revealed that the image taken by the spacecraft shows the arc of Jupiter’s horizon and the planet’s wavy clouds, while also capturing the moons Io and Callisto.

The image was taken when Juno was regarding 8,700 miles (14,000 km) above Jupiter’s cloud tops, at regarding 69 degrees latitude, and was traveling at regarding 123,000 mph (198,000 km/h) relative to the planet, according to a NASA statement.
