Modder ScureHD has released a brand new version of the Graphics Overhaul Remaster mod for Battlefield 1942. This new version weighs around 11 GB and will greatly improve the graphics of this classic game.
In more detail, this graphics enhancement mod contains texture updates (including terrain, skybox, environment, vegetation, vehicle and weapon textures) up to 4096×4096 resolution. There are other tweaks as well, such as increased glare in the engine and reflections from the environment. Not only that, the mod increases the rendering distance in the game and the quality of the LOD.
It is also important to note that the mod does not use any artificial intelligence techniques for higher quality textures. Instead, the modder manually reworked all the textures.
