After several years of development, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, developed by Daedalic Entertainment, finally announced today (25th) that the game will be released on September 1, 2022, supporting traditional Chinese.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure game that also features a route selection mechanism. The background will be from Gollum’s time as a slave under the Black Tower to before living with the elves of Mirkwood.
Use stealth, agility, and cunning to survive, and climb, jump, and scuffle to overcome danger or reach a vantage point. While Gollum isn’t a warrior, it’s also possible to assassinate a careless foe when the opportunity presents itself, or deal with it in a more creative and nefarious way.
In the story, the player can decide whether to let Gollum’s dark side prevail, or if he was Smeagol and left a sliver of sanity behind. These choices will affect Gollum’s personality and the direction of the story.
“The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” will be available on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC (Steam) on September 1, and the Nintendo Switch version will be launched later this year.
