The main blunder of “Seventeen Moments of Spring” is related to the radio operators and Stirlitz: this is how they made a mistake

We didn’t notice during installation and paid the price.

In any film, even the most successful at the box office or the most “documentary,” there will always be a mistake: either the scriptwriters, or the director, or the actor “mess up.”

However, cinematic masterpieces such as “Seventeen Moments of Spring” are not spoiled by blunders and missteps. On the contrary, they add zest, especially if you manage to notice them before all other spectators.

Fans of the series remember that Stirlitz received a radiogram from the Center. It contained a specific order: to find out who was conducting separate negotiations in the Third Reich. The intelligence officer then decided to inform Himmler regarding this. And reported to the Center.

At the same time, Moscow already knew that it was Himmler who was conducting separate negotiations. The boss from the capital immediately told Stirlitz that his decision would lead to a terrible failure. But he did not receive this message.

Just as I did not receive other messages from the Center. Why? According to the script, he was left without communication due to the bombing of Erwin and Kat’s house. But before that, Stirlitz calmly received the same messages not somewhere out there, but at home on the radio. By the way, this was logical.

But, apparently, in order to increase the intensity of passions, the creators “forgot” that you don’t have to fence the garden, but simply tune in to the desired wave. And in an attempt to thicken the picture, they made a rather obvious and significant mistake.
