Malappuram: Naufal, a native of Malappuram Mankada, who threatened Swapna Suresh over the phone, is in custody. Naufal, a native of Angadipuram, was taken into custody by the police from Perinthalmanna. He was later handed over to Mankada police.
The police said that Naufal, who was taken into custody, was contradicting himself. Naufal is mentally challenged and has received complaints for calling people in the past. The police said that he had also called the police station in this way.
The police are interrogating more to know whether Naufal called Swapna Suresh as per someone’s request.
Swapna Suresh had handed over a complaint to the DGP on Saturday night once morest the person who threatened her by phone. The complaint was filed along with the call record.
