CREAM. The revolving open-air theater in Český Krumlov has been providing a unique setting for opera, ballet and drama performances for more than half a century. A varied program awaits visitors from July to September.
For the first time this year, the oratorio “Der Messiah” by George Frideric Handel can be experienced on the revolving stage as a scenic “baroque opera”. First performed in Dublin on April 13, 1742, it caused a storm of euphoria. The focus of the “Messiah” are passages from the Bible regarding Jesus Christ.
A festival awaits you in the castle park: magical atmosphere, illuminated castle garden, 150 choir singers, soloists, ballet and actors who appear in baroque costumes promise unforgettable impressions. The rousing biblical story regarding Jesus Christ comes to life in a musical celebration and culminates in the world-famous “Hallelujah”.
Do not miss this impressive experience in the open-air theater in the Krumau Castle Park with its worldwide uniqueness, the spectator stand that can be rotated 360°.
