Minister of Education of the Sverdlovsk Region Yuri Biktuganov called for the dismissal of the director of the lyceum № 12 in Yekaterinburg, where schoolchildren performed “LGBT dance” at the graduation. He is sure that the duty of the school was to see what number the children are preparing.
– The resonance caused by the performance of schoolchildren is understandable. It is quite obvious that in this case the organizers of the competition did not pay due attention to what the children put on, what meanings they are trying to put into their performance. Today, more and more attention is paid to the educational function of the school, and such manifestations of extracurricular activities indicate how relevant this task is. This situation caused misunderstanding on the part of the parent community as well,” the minister said.
