Schools in the Chuvash Republic may start collect mobile phones before lessons. Earlier this was announced by the head of the Ministry of Education.
On April 19, Sergey Kravtsov said that in May they intend to send a list with these recommendations to all regions. The minister said that these measures are necessary to systematize all work in schools.
Portal “About the City” turned to the Ministry of Education of Chuvashia, where we were given the following explanations.
- From September 1, schools will independently decide how to use these recommendations;
- Each educational institution will independently decide on the organization of the educational process in terms of collecting cell phones. This applies to both metropolitan schools and rural ones;
- At the moment, there are no penalties for refusing to hand over the phone;
- Such decisions are made by the school taking into account the opinion of the collegial management bodies of the educational organization.
