A five-year-old girl ended up hospitalized this Tuesday morning with seizures in the Remedios de Escalada neighborhood, in the city of Córdoba, following ingesting cockroach poison that her mother (26) gave her by mistake, according to police sources.
The event happened around 1 in a house located in Ramírez at 340 when the woman reported that her ex-husband placed poison for cockroaches in the same box of a remedy, and that she confused both and gave a dose of the poison to the little girl.
The girl began to convulse, so she was transferred to the Elpidio Torres Hospital. She was diagnosed with poisoning and was referred to Children’s Hospital.
