the municipality disinfects to prevent the spread of dengue fever

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Tiger mosquitoes have transmitted dengue fever to 5 inhabitants of Saint-Jeannet in recent weeks. No serious case, the people concerned managed to heal quickly but the town does not want to see the scenario repeat itself in the coming months. A mosquito control operation has already been set up. “There was a treatment near a school affected by the disease”explains Mayor Julie Charles.

“We also want to make progress on prevention. Alert on stagnant water, by covering the water basins and cleaning the gutters”she adds. The town hall hopes to launch this type of operation for the summer of 2023.
