The New Family Medicine Unit No. 19 of the IMSS in Cancun begins operations

Cancun Quintana Roo.- The new Family Medicine Unit No. 19 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), located in the Los Héroes subdivision, in Cancún, began operating today.

The medical unit has 10 family medicine clinics and five specialist nursing clinics in family medicine, a cubicle for injections and/or dressings.

It also has an area for taking laboratory and bacteriology samples, an X-ray and ultrasound service, as well as a technical sector, an occupational health area, economic and social benefits, and a clinical file, warehouse, and pharmacy.

This new Family Medical Unit will benefit a population of approximately 75,000 beneficiaries, the agency reported through a bulletin.

The objective of this new family medical unit in Cancun is to distribute the workload of said units and improve the quality and timeliness of services.
