The nuclear safety of the Zaporozhye plant is guaranteed

The Ukrainian authorities announced that they were able to send firefighting teams to the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which caught fire following a Russian bombing, assuring that the nuclear safety of this site was “guaranteed.”

“The station director indicated that nuclear safety is guaranteed. According to the station’s officials, a training building and a laboratory were damaged in the fire,” said Oleksandr Staruch, head of the Zaporizhzhya Military Administration.

In this context, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced that the Kyiv authorities informed it that none of the basic equipment at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant was damaged following the Russian bombing that targeted it and led to a fire in it.
