The parties return to Buckingham Palace, but without the participation of Queen Elizabeth

LONDON (Archyde.com) – Britain’s Queen Elizabeth will take her place when traditional parties return this summer in the garden of Buckingham Palace, the office of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth said on Thursday.

Movement problems have forced the 96-year-old queen to reduce her participation in public events, and the palace said family members would represent her at garden parties returning following the Covid-19 pandemic brought her two years off.

The Queen usually hosts three annual parties in the palace garden in central London, and another at Holyrood House in Edinburgh, but these parties have been canceled due to measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

The Buckingham Palace concerts will take place in May, and a concert in Scotland in June.

“Other members of the royal family will represent Her Majesty at the Garden Parties this year, with details of attendance confirmed in due course,” her office said in a statement.
