European stocks
registered European stocks Mixed performance at the close of trading today, according to the following:
- The European Stoxx 600 index is down 0.6% at the close of trading.
- Britain’s FTSE 100 is up 0.2% at the end of trading.
- The German DAX index is down 0.4% at the end.
- The French CAC index recorded a strong decline and was the most declining among European stocks by 0.9%.
- The Italian MIB index recorded a loss of 0.4% by the close of the European session.
- Spain’s IBEX index is flat.
It should be noted that most European stock indices recorded noticeable losses at the end of trading on Wednesday, coinciding with concerns regarding the US Federal Reserve’s continued tightening of monetary policy during the coming period to control high inflation rates.
