Midday walks are beneficial

A revolution in judgment regarding the correct doses of vitamin D was made by scientists from Shanghai. They discovered how much of this vitamin women need to avoid the development of breast cancer. The findings of Chinese University researchers were published by Xinhua.

Scientific research and clinical trials were conducted on 5,000 women over 50 years of age.

It turned out that women with a D concentration in the blood of more than 60 nanograms per milliliter are not susceptible to the insidious disease. Moreover, the remaining participants had the recommended 20 nanograms per milliliter before that day, and their risk turned out to be 5 times higher.

Vitamin D can be taken as a pharmaceutical preparation. But doctors insist that getting it “out of thin air” is much more effective – walking in the fresh air in sunny weather is necessary.

Shanghai scientists recommended taking walks of only 10-15 minutes in sunny weather at noon, exposing more exposed parts of the body to the sun.
