The Prime Minister presides over a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of solid waste management in the city of Nouakchott

His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Bilal Massoud, chaired today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Prime Ministry, a meeting of the Ministerial Committee in charge of solid waste management in the city of Nouakchott.

The meeting was devoted to discussing the conclusions and recommendations of the report submitted by the technical committee charged with finding permanent solutions for an effective, efficient and sustainable treatment of the dilemma of solid waste in the city of Nouakchott, by crystallizing the technical and financial aspects and following up and monitoring the process of treating this waste in a comprehensive manner.

After discussion and deliberation, the committee approved the proposed technical solutions. A technical committee was tasked with preparing the necessary legal and regulatory formulas for this purpose.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Prime Minister obliged the intervening sectors, each in his concern, to implement the provisions of this plan, and the technical committee to prepare the timetable for that.
