The rented house was rented to four families; The court imposed a fine of Rs 65 lakh on the youth

The Abu Dhabi court sentenced the man who rented out the villa to four families without the permission of the owner. The court ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 65 lakh for violating building regulations in Abu Dhabi and damaging the villa. This amount will be paid to the owner of the villa as compensation. Apart from this, the court also ordered the defendant to bear the costs of the owner’s case. (Abu Dhabi man to pay Dh300,000 for subletting villa)

The sentence was imposed on the basis that the court was convinced that the youth had made several modifications to the villa without asking the owner and divided the house into four equal parts. He, along with the engineer, testified in the court that he had modified these four parts so that four families might live there.

The court ruled that the defendant had violated the housing laws of Abu Dhabi. But the owner told the court that it would cost more than Rs 65 lakh to restore his villa to its original condition. The plaintiff demanded Rs.1 crore as compensation from the defendant. But the court was not ready to accept this amount.
