The Familleureux interchange bridge on the E19/A7 towards Brussels will be reopened to traffic on Tuesday, the Infrastructure Supplementary Financing Company (Sofico) indicated on Monday. The structure has been completely rehabilitated, including new waterproofing as well as new coverings and equipment.
The project began in August 2022 following a two-month preparatory phase. During the work, two strips were maintained in both directions through a central berm passage. The speed limit was 70 km/h on the entire section.
The bridge supporting the tracks towards Mons will undergo a similar renovation which will begin in the spring of 2024 and end in the fall of the same year.
