Al-Marsad newspaper: The Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister submitted his resignation hours following the formation of the new government by an Emiri decree.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, “Al-Rai”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new government, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decision accepting the resignation of Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Majdi Al-Dhafiri.
The newspaper pointed out that “the decision to accept the resignation of Al-Dhafiri, which was submitted yesterday, Monday, is effective as of today, Tuesday.”
Several local newspapers reported on Monday that “Ambassador Al-Dhafiri submitted his resignation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs,” without addressing the reasons for this resignation, which came a year and a half following his appointment to this position.
