The study found that people with type O blood were significantly more associated with long-term COVID symptoms than other blood types. It was found to increase the risk by regarding 6 times (95% confidence interval from 1.6-23 times).
It also has a higher number of abnormalities than any other blood type. It was found that people with type O blood had higher levels of chemicals in their blood that indicate inflammation than other blood types.
Although this study has a small number of populations studied. But it yielded interesting results. And it will be interesting to see if there will be larger studies in the future that will prove consistent results.
