The Rise of Internet Communication in Morocco: Mobile Penetration and Outgoing Traffic Trends

More and more Moroccans are conducting their communications via the Internet to the detriment of traditional voice which is losing ground. At the end of last September, the mobile telephone penetration rate stood at 154.8% and that of the Internet at 106.8%. Outgoing mobile telephony traffic stood at 12.65 billion minutes during the third quarter of the year, down 9.99% year-on-year.
