A “range” which corresponds to data from the Ministry of the Interior. 26,829 shoplifting thefts were recorded in 2022 in France, in the police zone, i.e. an increase of + 14.77% compared to 2021. 15,093 incidents were recorded in the gendarmerie zone, i.e. an increase of + 14, 76%.
The Haute-Loire gendarmerie group recorded 81 shoplifting thefts in 2022 compared to 88 in 2021. Each year, these thefts represent billions of euros in losses for the retail sector.
