The last day of the qualifying campaign for Euro 2024 delivered its verdicts: we now know 21 of the 24 teams who will take part in the European Championships in Germany next summer.

And well before the play-offs, which will designate the last 3 qualified teams next March, the next big moment will be the draw and the creation of the 6 groups for the final phase of the competition, on December 2 in Hamburg.

Following the various results recorded this Tuesday evening, the different pots have now been made up… and this promises to give the various selectors a cold sweat!

Pot 1: Germany and the top 5 group winners

In pot 1, not the slightest surprise: we will find Germany, host country of Euro 2024, as well as Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium and England.

Pot 2: the other group winners and the best runner-up

Quite surprisingly, it is in pot 2 that we do not find the slightest real candidate for final victory. Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Denmark and Albania, all group winners, are joined by second-placed Austria.

Pot 3: the Netherlands and Croatia, two opponents to avoid at all costs

Despite a good qualifying campaign in the France group (18/24), the Netherlands failed to inherit the status of best second. Nor do Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Pot 4: Italy pays for its poor qualifying campaign

Qualified down to the wire thanks to its victory once morest Ukraine (1-0), Italy, title holder, was not brilliant during its qualifying campaign (14/24) and must be content with a place in pot 4 with Serbia, Switzerland, and the three teams who will emerge victorious from the play-offs.

The play-offs: Poland, Ukraine and Greece “favorites”

The twelve dams are Bosnia, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Wales, Poland and Ukraine.

In the “League A Path”, Poland – Estonia and Wales – Finland, Ukraine or Iceland are on the program for the semi-finals.

In the “League B Path”, place Israel – Ukraine or Iceland, and Bosnia – Finland or Ukraine.

Finally, in the “League C Path”, it is clearer: Georgia – Luxembourg and Greece – Kazakhstan are the posters for the semi-finals.

The last three qualified for Euro 2024 will be known on March 26!
