Alappuzha – The mother was injured when the roof of the temple collapsed during the child’s funeral in Kalavur. Arya, a native of Kalavur, was injured. The five-month-old baby miraculously survived. The baby’s brother also has a head injury. Arya and her son were admitted to Chettikad Government Hospital.
The roof of the elephant cage collapsed around 10.45 am. For ages, the temple authorities were asked to remove the dilapidated roof. But the believers said that no action has been taken.
