Due to the successive extensions of the Alarm State by Covid-19, the Organizing Committee has been forced to extend the postponement of La Ruta de la Sal, which was to be held in early April.
The departure will take place on Friday, October 9 (holiday in the Valencian community) and the delivery of trophies on Sunday, 11. Participants would have Monday, October 12, a holiday throughout Spain, to return to their base ports.
The Regatta Committee thanks the co-organizing clubs: CN Sant Antoni, CM Port Ginesta, CV Port d’Andraxt and the Denia RCN for their collaboration in establishing the new dates. It also thanks all the messages of encouragement from the sailors themselves and the support of the collaborating entities and companies.
For the Denia version of La Ruta de la Sal, an important novelty is presented. Considering that the Denia RCN had already scheduled the Canal Cup Regatta for the October bridge, an agreement has been established to twin both regattas. In this way, this year, the participants who decide to do the regatta on a direct course, Denia – Sant Antoni, will compete for the precious Canal Cup, while those who decide to make the long journey leaving Formentera and Ibiza on port will compete in La Salt Route.
The coincidence with the Barcelona Boat Show will allow to carry out promotional actions that give greater visibility to the regatta and to the collaborating entities.
This year’s edition is presented as an opportunity to celebrate victory over adversity. A magnificent opportunity to, sailing towards Ibiza, fill the lungs with fresh air and observe that the worst is left behind, in the wake of our stern. .
