Recent reports suggest that Samsung may announce the Galaxy Z Flip2 (also labeled as Z Flip3 in the leak) and Galaxy Z Fold3 in July. Meanwhile, an informant from China said that the Fold3 will be equipped with an Under Panel Camera (UPC), which is also known as under-screen camera technology.
This is not the first time rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold3 will offer the UPC. In October 2020, a publication in South Korea also mentioned the same thing. In fact, the publication claims that the Fold3 will have a thicker UTG to support the S Pen stylus.
For the first generation, the Fold comes with a wide notch that accommodates dual cameras. Then, in the second generation, Samsung slightly changed the inner screen of the Galaxy Z Fold2. This folding screen smartphone offers a bigger screen-to-body ratio because it is equipped with a punch-hole design.
With the onboard UPC, the Galaxy Fold3 is expected to offer a higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor model. S-Connect, a company that produces hinges for Samsung foldable smartphones, has confirmed that it will start mass production of hinges for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip2 in Q2 2021.
This information seems to be in line with a recent report claiming that this next generation Samsung foldable smartphone will debut in July. Recent reports reveal that the Galaxy Z Fold3 model number is SM-F926 and it will come with 256 GB of internal storage.
It is also expected that this device will come with a 7.55-inch main screen, 6.21-inch cover screen, and run with the One UI 3.5 interface based on Android 11. Likely, this foldable smartphone will have a special slot to store the stylus. Yes! Other specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold3 are still hidden.
