The Shooting Incident at Café “La Brise” in Charleroi: Updates and Investigation Details

A man residing illegally was the target of two gunshots in front of the café “La Brise”, rue Neuve in Charleroi around 4:00 a.m. on January 1, according to information from Sudinfo confirmed by the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office.

As a result of the gunfire, one person was shot in the thigh and foot. His days are not in danger. The victim fled towards the front of the “Le Gringo” café where she was rescued by customers. Emergency services took care of him followingwards. The local police in Charleroi closed Rue Neuve and arrested several people staying illegally, according to Sudinfo.

The victim should be heard this Monday by the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office. At this point, the suspect is still unknown. An investigating judge was seized of the charge of attempted murder.
