Love El Sima is an Egyptian film produced in 2004, starring Mahmoud Hamida, Laila Elwi and the child Youssef Othman, written by screenwriter Hani Fawzy, directed by Osama Fawzy and produced by Hani Gerges Fawzy. It is a mostly comedic movie, and the main actor of the movie is Youssef Othman, and it talks regarding a fanatical father and a wife who can no longer tolerate her husband’s behavior, so she betrays him with a plastic artist.
The film deals with the life of a Christian family consisting of a religiously puritanical Coptic Orthodox husband, a Protestant wife, and a child and a child.
When this movie was shown, it caused a sensation. Christian lawyers and clergymen filed a lawsuit to demand that the movie “Love of Ema” be stopped, due to its content of ridicule of the Christian faith.
