The Superior Council of Justice (CSJ) has closed its specific investigation into the case of Yassine M., suspected of having killed police officer Thomas Monjoie regarding a year ago, in Brussels. “The judicial system functioned properly“, emerges from this investigation.

On November 10, 2022, Yassine M. fatally stabbed a police officer from the Brussels-North police zone and injured a second. The investigation notably revealed that the perpetrator had presented himself, earlier the same day, at a police station in Evere. During the investigation, the CSJ heard 26 people from the public prosecutor’s office, the police, the intelligence services, the prison environment and the health sector.
