The Supreme Council for Media Regulation issued a decision to close the accounts of Mahmoud Al-Mahdi, husband of the artist Menna Arafa, on Facebook and Instagram; For violating media codes and standards, and for broadcasting publications defaming the art profession and its people.
The decision of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation came following the artist Ashraf Zaki, the captain of the representative professions, filed a complaint with the Supreme Council for Media Regulation once morest Mahmoud al-Mahdi.
The complaint stated that it was submitted by the artist Ashraf Zaki, the captain of the acting professions, that Mahmoud Al-Mahdi published on his account on Facebook and Instagram several publications that included defamation and stigmatization of symptoms and a threat to publish abuses related to a number of artists, including the artist Ilham Shaheen and others.
The council announced the closure of the “Mahmoud Al-Mahdi” account on Facebook and Instagram, for violating media codes and standards, and the Mahmoud Al-Mahdi’s account broadcast publications representing slander, slander, monitoring of complainants and insulting abuse of art and those in charge of it.
