Immediately following independence, 2 brothers boarded a train from Bikaner in Rajasthan to Delhi. The aim was to sell Bujia and Rasagula which had made them popular in Bikaner. They thought their taste would have more fans in the new location. In the early days, sales were carried in buckets. Later they started a small stall in Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. It soon became another name for sweet and sour tastes.
