Christmas music certainly has a polarizing side. Some people listen to it 12 months a year, while others cannot endure more than a few seconds of listening.
Among those who like or at least tolerate this type of music, there are nevertheless some songs that arouse exasperation, disgust or even anger.
Sometimes it’s a matter of musical arrangements, while for others it’s the lyrics that irritate. Finally, in many cases, it is simply the fact of having heard the song excessively that means that we can no longer stand it.
It’s with this in mind that CNN culture journalist AJ Willingham decided to compile a list of Christmas songs that people love to hate.
