The Transmediterranean shipping company requests its rescue from SEPI

Naviera Armas Transmediterránea is on the tightrope and in a few months it has gone from denying a bankruptcy to requesting a public bailout to stay afloat. The company denied at the beginning of the month that it was in a situation of creditors’ pre-bankruptcy, only acknowledging that due to the COVID crisis it had initiated “conversations” with the representatives of its main bondholders to refinance the bonds maturing in 2023 and 2024. And this week it transpired that he had gone to the State Society for Industrial Participations (SEPI) to request his rescue.
