The technical staff of the Emirates Chess Federation announced the list of the UAE national team that will participate in the Arab Games in Algeria, which will be held from 5 to 15 July.
The list includes 10 male and female players, where the men’s team is represented (5 players): Salem Abdul Rahman, Omar Noman, Abdul Rahman Al-Taher, Imran Al-Hosani and Ammar Al-Sidrani. The women’s team includes (5 players): Wafia Darwish, Rawda Al Serkal, Maryam Issa, Ahlam Rashid, and Anoud Issa.
This came during a meeting of the technical staff headed by Sultan Ali Al-Taher, and in the presence of all members of the new formation.
The technical staff was briefed on the results of the qualifiers currently being held to select the squad for the UAE national team to participate in the World Chess Championship, which will be held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, from July 29 to August 22.
