The UMH, dissatisfied with the “political decision” to create a Faculty of Medicine at the UA | Society | Valencian Community Edition

The rector of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche, Juan José Ruiz, and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine of this academic institution, Antonio Compañ, have expressed this Wednesday their “total disagreement” with the “political decision” by of the Generalitat to create a Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alicante (UA).

That decision “goes once morest the scientific and professional criteria expressed repeatedly in recent years by professional organizations, educational and health entities such as the National Conference of Deans of Spanish Faculties of Medicine, the State Council of Medicine Students, the Forum of the Medical Profession, the Collegiate Medical Organization or the CESM Medical Union”, stated Ruiz y Compan.
